Two Ideas: Is There An Interest?

I have two ideas that have been rolling around in my head for several months, and I am hoping readers can help me get a sense of how much interest there might be for them. I hope you will take a moment to consider my ideas, one of which is aimed at photographers and the other at art lovers in general.

As people who follow my blog or social media accounts likely know, I’ve been doing multiple exposure photography for quite some time. It’s become my genre of choice for many reasons, mainly because of the expressive freedom that I find it offers.

My first idea is to make a comprehensive video course about multiple exposure photography, teaching everything from A to Z, including in-camera multiple exposures, assembling multiple exposures in Photoshop, (which opens up a creative panacea as you can use every image you’ve ever taken and is also critical if your camera is unable to produce in-camera multiple exposures or doesn’t offer blending options), processing multiple exposures in Lightroom and Photoshop, as well as achieving special effects and generating what I would call enhanced multiple exposures. I would want to make it a complete and comprehensive resource, and I think there would be useful material for photographers at all levels of experience. I’m guessing the cost would be in the $100-200 range.

My second idea is aimed at art lovers in general, and it’s to create a print club subscription where members receive a beautiful 8.5-by-11 signed print on heavy 308 gsm Hahnemühle fine art paper (you know, the good stuff) each month. I’m guessing this might cost around $20/month.

I’ve been a little hesitant to proceed with these ideas because they would take quite a bit of work, particularly the multiple exposure course, and I’m not sure how much interest there would be. If there were interest, I would very much look forward to proceeding with either or both ideas.

Sooooo, if any of this has piqued your interest in terms of either a multiple-exposure photography course or a print club subscription, I would appreciate it if you could either drop me a comment below or send me a note using my Contact Form to say, hey, I might be interested in them (also, be sure to say which one). Of course, there’s absolutely NO commitment whatsoever, either on your part or mine. At this point, I’m just trying to gauge how much interest there might be.
