The Archives Always Have Surprises

I tend to shoot quite a bit less in the winter than at other times of the year (it’s that ‘I hate the cold’ thing), so I tend to delve into the archives during the colder months. Like many photographers, I have thousands of photos that I have never really gotten around to processing and ‘rooting around’ in the archives brings back a lot of great memories as well as nice shots that I wonder why I never processed.

This photo was taken way back in 2006, on my first of many workshops with the late Nancy Rotenberg. It was taken at Bandon Beach during low tide, a location that I am actually at quite a bit these days for part time work. Back then I never would have guessed in a million years that I would be returning regularly. Ya never know!
