Neutral Density Filters: B&W vs Breakthrough Photography

I use neutral density filters quite a bit in my photography in order to get long shutter speeds, allowing the capture of images that blur movement while keeping still objects sharp. Like this:

I had been using B&W neutral density filters for many years….after all they are supposed to be one of the best, aren’t they?? Well, not so fast. Despite the fact that they claimed to be color neutral, they always seemed to impart an unwanted warm tone to my photos which, admittedly, I could fix in post-processing. . I just figured that was the best that could be had. So, let’s see what happens when I compared those B&W filters to the Breakthrough Photography neutral density filters.
