Three Winter Trees

Sometimes images sit unfinished for a long time before they resurface and it becomes clear how they should be presented. This particular image sat in my ‘Work In Progress’ folder for several years. It bothered me because I always liked the arrangement of the three trees, but It wasn’t until I started playing around with adding toned textures to the photo in order to give it more depth that it fully connected with me and felt done. And so now it moves from my Work In Progress folder into one of my folders of completed images.
