The Carrie Furnace Folio

The Carrie Furnace Folio contains 44 images from The Carrie Furnace Portfolio printed on thick 8.5x11 inch sheets of hot press, archival, matte finish fine art paper.

Rather than reproduce all the images (which can be found here), a sample image is shown below:

The prints are housed in a Pina Zangaro presentation case made of heavy anodized brushed aluminum that is reminiscent of the steel industry and has a photo 'tipped in' to the case cover:

The inside of the case is hand lined with acid-free matboard to provide a safe enclosure for the prints, with a ribbon that allows the photographs to be easily removed. A signed four page artist's pamphlet and a list of the portfolio's prints are also enclosed.

Finally, the folio comes with a CD of my Carrie Furnace e-book, which contains not only the project images, but also the comments and anecdotes that Mr. Gault, who worked at Carrie as a young man, told in his interview while viewing the prints.

This is truly a folio for anyone interested in Western Pennsylvania and its history, the steel industry, or urban exploration.
