Motivation is a photography blog that discusses the creative aspects of photography. The posts will include thoughts about images and their interpretation, photographers and their work, technique, workflow, my ongoing projects, and perhaps even the occasional off topic rant.

Grape Hyacinth

Though commonly called a "Grape Hyacinth", these are not hyacinths at all, but are of the genus Muscari.  This was taken during a 'self-assignment' at a local conservatory to shoot macro images at a wide aperture.  I was drawn to the repeating shapes and wanted the shapes to recede and repeat while blurring into the background.
