National Rooms

I have previously posted photos from the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning. But I haven’t shown many photos of the so-called National Rooms in the cathedral. This is mainly because I usually photograph there early in the day, when there aren’t as many students walking around. Unfortunately, the National Rooms only open later in the day.

There are 31 such National Rooms that have been designed by members of Pittsburgh's ethnic communities. Twenty-nine of these rooms are actually used as classrooms. There are more typical small classrooms in the cathedral as well. To be honest, I am not sure what nationality this room is from, though I am sure someone in the know can tell from the writing carved into the lectern and blackboard covers.
