Mask Making

Photographers and digital artists frequently make masks in Photoshop. But the type of masks that one can make in 3D LUT Creator can be far more sophisticated than the ones you can make in Photoshop or Lightroom. Plus, they are very easy to make using the 3DLC tools! In this week’s video, I am going to demonstrate how to make several different and useful types of masks using 3D LUT Creator.

Moreover, next week I am going to show how these masks can be quite easily ‘harvested’ from 3D LUT Creator and used in Photoshop without even having to use a LUT. This can be extremely useful! It turns out that 3DLC can be used not only as a tool for making LUTS, but as a tool for making masks as well. For that reason, even those without the software might want to have a look at this video.
