Layered Sea Stacks

When photographing the sea stacks at Bandon, I enjoy using a telephoto lens for it’s ‘compressive effect’ which gives a layered look to the stacks. On this particular evening the sunset turned the sky a beautiful reddish pink color and I enjoy the warm/cold clash of tones that this brings to the blue water.

This particular image was shot at a focal length of 200mm, with the water blurred by a 55 second exposure.
