When Is The Photo Finished?

How do you know when the photo editing is done and your photo or artwork is finished and ready to be put out into the world? That is what I address in this “Three Minute Photo Thought”.

This can be a vexing question in the digital age, as it is so easy to open Photoshop or Lightroom and just keep tweaking an image and trying to move it closer to your vision of perfection. But at some point the editing becomes counter-productive as the changes become minimal and that time could be better spent working on new projects. It's a pit that I feel is all too easy and seductive to be drawn into - I know because I have certainly been there.

What about you? Is this been something that you feel you've been drawn into as well? How do you tell when your photo is done? How often do you go back and keep editing?
