Kapism: Go Fly A Kite

At times I use my blog to post work by other photographers that I find interesting or inspiring.  Today I have just such a post.

Kapism....what the heck is that? Yeah, I never heard the word either.  Turns out that it is a technique where one suspends a computerized camera from a kite in order to make aerial photographs.

Photographer Chris Benton did just that (no drones for that man!!) and flew the kite over the salt lakes of California, making surreal aerial abstract photos like the ones below:
