About This Website

For many years, my website was an on-line template to which I uploaded images. It served its purpose of displaying my work, but had relatively little available in the way of customizable options. The navigation and appearance of the site wasn't optimal and I couldn't make it function the way I thought it should. There were no real options to allow me to discuss my work or supply further information about my photographs. There was no way of allowing site visitors to view or download articles, e-books, or other media.

And so this website was born. My decision to undertake designing and building a website from scratch, with no programming experience, was not an easy one. It's probably just as well that I didn't truly realize the amount of time it would take to learn how to construct a modern CSS based site with the options I wanted.....had I known I might well have balked at the idea.

The growth and development of this site has become a labor of love. It will certainly not remain static. My plans include the more obvious growth of the portfolios with the addition of new images and subjects. However, I am also planning to include and develop the not so obvious. This includes having articles and e-books in .pdf format available for download, as well as being able to provide 'new media' such as video and audio in the future. My photography blog entitled "Motivation" will also be available through this website. The blog has been on line for more than four years and already contains many hundreds of posts that I hope you will find interesting.

In short, I would like to make this a dynamic site with frequent updates that gives you, the visitor, a reason to return frequently. I appreciate comments not only about my photographs, but also about this website so that I might constantly improve it. What do you like about it? What do you find lacking? What features, articles etc would make you want to revisit?
