Escape

Place: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Location: Downtown

The repeating pattern of this old fire escape on the side of an apartment building caught my attention. To photograph it I had to stand farily far away in order to get an unobstructed view, as there were other buildings all around this one. Given the distance, I had to use a 400mm telephoto lens in order to isolate a portion of the pattern.

This photograph was chosen for display at a juried, multi-artist show at The Pittsburgh Center For The Arts.
