Heceta Head Sunset

Place: Oregon

Location : Heceta Head Beach (also spelled Haceta, Haceda, and Heceda)

Here, the sun sets behind sea stacks at Heceta Beach in Oregon. On this particular evening, the wind was sweeping across the beach and one had to wait for moments of calm between gusts in order to make photographs. But with those gusts also came the great smell of salty sea air.

In addition to making this image, I also made the photos entitled "Heceta Head Sunset II" and "Heceta Head And Clouds" on the same evening.
